Papers, 1857, 1859-1860, and 1887, include correspondence to his parents, one on Hillsdale College letterhead, dated Wheatland (Mich.), Dec. 16, 1859, and another dated Jackson, July 9, 1860, about his plans as a preacher and shipment of furniture to Jackson. There is a religious essay entitled, "The hope of the future", dated Marilla (N.Y.), 1887. Also, there is a statement from the Overseer of the Poor in Marilla (N.Y.), 1859, concerning the Henry J. Myres family. The letterhead has a very finely detailed drawing of the college.
